1. What is perimenopause?
Perimenopause is the mirror image of puberty. During puberty, a girl�s hormone levels fluctuate as they make their way toward the high levels the body will maintain throughout her reproductive years.

2. Does every woman have menopausal symptoms?
The most common menopausal symptoms are hot flashes, vaginal dryness, insomnia, mood swings, fuzzy thinking, and loss of libido.

3. Is bleeding after menopause normal?
Vaginal bleeding after menopause can happen. When this occurs, it is usually the result of some hormonal change that is taking place.

4. What is the story about HRT?
In July 2002, researchers stopped a large randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial called the Women�s Health Initiative that was studying whether hormone replacement therapy (HRT) would prevent health problems women may face after menopause after they found the risks of HRT outweighed the benefits.
